Key Responsibilities:

Promoting, developing and implementing the company strategy in relation to IR

Managing 2 attorneys (IR Specialists) and reporting on case management ensuring that cases are in favour of the company

Drafting legal opinions and advising the business on the latest developments in law

Consulting, drafting and updating policies o Appearing at the CCMA, Labour court and Labour appeal court for litigious matters

Reporting and mitigating on all potential risk the company stands to face in IR matters

Extensive engagement in Union negotiations. I lead the negotiating team at NBF plenary sessions on behalf of Toyota.

Taking the lead on specific projects such as right sizing, release of fixed term employees and creating a workable workplace agreement with NUMSA.

Training HR Managers, Line managers and trade union shop stewards on chairing and initiating disciplinary hearings as well as policy awareness.

Reporting to the GM ER on a monthly basis
