Key Responsibilities:
Performing company secretarial duties and ensuring company compliance with governing legislation and regulations, such as the Companies Act, the Competition Act, PFMA, King Code IV Report, etc.
Drafting commercial agreements and overseeing compliance in M&A matters.
Commercial litigation, overseeing the litigation phase from initiation through researching, drafting of notices and pleadings, making appearances, and occasionally briefing Counsel;
Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, sale agreements; shareholders agreements; SLA’s; and assisting in conveyancing practices;
Engaged in other commercial practices, such as debt collection;
Acting as an unbiased third-party chairing disciplinary hearings and mediating disputes.
