I was admitted as an attorney on 13 March 2003 and I have a wealth of experience as an attorney as well as farming. I hold a B.Proc. degree which I obtained at the North West University (Potchefstroom Campus) (Previously known as the PU for CHE) I enrolled for a course in Conveyancing at the Gawie le Roux institute of Law in 2024 and will be writing my admission during 2025 and once successfully completed, apply to be admitted as a conveyancer, further enhancing my professional development. I am a highly motivated, self-driven, and goal-oriented individual who thrives both in team settings and when working independently. I handle pressure well and am known for my integrity, dedication, honesty, and loyalty in the workplace. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. I have practiced in various fields of the law including labour disputes at the CCMA, cases involving the rental housing act, drafting of various agreements including sale of both moveable and immoveable property, sale of shares and employment contracts. I also have a wealth of knowledge pertaining to short term insurance matters and litigation pertaining thereto including litigation pertaining to short term insurance contracts (repudiated claims), general litigation and debt collection. In addition to my legal qualifications, I hold a Diploma in Agriculture from Potchefstroom Agricultural College, which has enabled me to integrate agricultural insights into my legal practice, particularly in rural and farming contexts.

Key Responsibilities:
Litigation: Acted as litigation attorney for an insurance firm, handling a wide range of litigious matters including repudiated claims, motor vehicle accidents, fire-related claims, and general non-motor insurance claims.
Court Representation: Drafted all pleadings and notices and appeared in the Magistrates’, Regional and High Courts of South Africa. Managed litigation from inception to trial, including trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and briefing of counsel, consultations with clients and advocates;
Legal Opinions: Provided legal opinions on complex and disputed claims, with a focus on compliance with policy wording, statutory obligations, and common law principles. Participated in claims meetings to guide the client on legal risks and litigation strategy.
