To give a brief background of myself, I am a passionate legal professional, having practiced in a number of legal disciplines over about 14 years. I have attained significant experience in contract drafting, compliance, dispute resolution and commercial matters.
I have knowledge on a host of legal topics and believe that such knowledge and experience can add value to your business. I have built valuable legal, negotiation and compliance skills during my time at the various organisations I have worked at. I have attained significant experience in commercial transactions, procurement, dispute resolution and other problem-solving skills. I have for about four years served as an in-house Corporate Counsel in the procurement and commercial division in South Africa. I have also served as an attorney in South African private practice for about six years engaging mostly competition law. I have developed valuable negotiation and problem-solving skills and attained experience in complex commercial contracts on a host of mining inputs. I had also engaged with senior stakeholders and management at the Company on other legal and commercial matters. I have also guided my colleagues on business solutions and the compliance policies of the company. In private practice I have been involved in and managed a number of competition merger notifications in various sectors, including FMCG, power and steel. I have engaged in some cartel, specifically the construction cartel. I have also taken some time during my career to manage the family property business. In 2021, I commenced the Solicitors’ Qualification Examinations route. I have succeeded with SQE1 thus far and am awaiting my SQE2 results in August 2025.
