About the Candidate.
Having completed my Articles of Clerkship at two law firms, the Practical Legal Training course, and practised as an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa for three years at a small law firm, I gained invaluable experience in Civil Litigation, Commercial and Contract Law, Deceased Estates, Family Law, and Property Law. Post-admission, and due to my exemplified knowledge of the law and procedure together with my sheer professionalism and interpersonal skills, I was entrusted with a number of clients, including large financial institutions, and the handling of all matters independently. In addition, I was requested to spearhead a project involving a large-scale cession of mortgage bonds for a financial institution due to my diligence, accuracy, resilience, problem-solving skills and my ability to work calmly under pressure to meet tight deadlines. This pressured and unknown territory required me to be proactively pragmatic, in that it required me to lead a team, develop processes and templates to promote an efficient workflow and align any legal risk. This resulted in my communication and organizational skills to surge. My success as an Admitted Attorney endorsed that I am goal-driven, hardworking, a team-player and have the willingness to adapt to any role I am assigned, with commitment and excellence.
