Key Responsibilities:
Communication with clients, opposing counsel and external stakeholders on legal escalation to the Department of Home Affairs.
Draft correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Immigration Act, accompanying Regulations and Uniform Rules of Court.
Prepare for the filing, and serving legal notices, summonses and other related process documentation.
Drafting, editing, reviewing and organizing case related correspondence and filings.
Conducting basic and advanced legal research on Immigration related case law, regulations as directed by senior attorneys and team leads.
Performing administrative and case management support, including scheduling client meetings, managing deadlines and calendar updates.
Prepare briefs, witness statements and support affidavits for submission of visa applications.
Draft waiver applications, upliftment applications, legal escalation letters for clients with undesirable immigration status, who wish to waive immigration regulations and want to appeal rejections or compel response for pending outcomes.
Engage with marketing for purpose of creating website content pages and drafting of visa litigation articles that will assist in generating client leads.
