I am currently a Senior Legal Advisor with sound knowledge of FAIS, FICA, Consumer Protection Act, National Credit Act, Protection of Personal Information Act, and Insurance legislation. I have acquired the skill of drafting pleadings and legal opinions, settlement negotiations, legal research and interpretation of statutes, litigation, the conduct and administration of an attorney’s practice, accounting to clients, complemented by proficiency at all aspects of law and great interpersonal skills. I am fully conversant in pension law as I previously specialised in pension law litigation as well as advisory, and I have the ability to manage numerous matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring balance between quality work and speedy resolution of claims;
Conduct assessment of new claims to identify prospects of success and ascertain cover of the legal policy;
Assist clients with queries or complaints regarding labour, insurance, medical negligence, property owner disputes, repossessions, actions against the state and motor vehicle matters;
Assisting clients to refer matters to alternative dispute resolution such as Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa, National Financial Ombud Scheme, Pension Fund Adjudicator, CCMA and etc;
Provide support to the legal claims department regarding processing of high risk claims;
Providing guidance to junior staff members where necessary
