I am a driven individual and my passion is in legal compliance, thorough due diligence, in justice and assisting in the understanding and implementation of the law and its requirements across various sectors. I have five years of post-articles experience as an admitted attorney and look forward to further growing in my profession and positively contributing to any work environment I am placed in. To obtain my LLB, I worked and studied simultaneously. I worked as a legal secretary for a commercial attorney whilst studying towards my law degree. Throughout my studies and subsequent work experience I have gained skills in many varying areas of the law as both a practicing and non-practicing attorney.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Legal and Compliance Officer at Inspired Testing, a leader in software quality engineering and assurance, I oversee the company’s legal risk management framework, regulatory compliance strategy, and governance processes across South Africa and our international operations.
My responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts, SLAs, and data privacy agreements, ensuring that all legal documentation aligns with relevant legislation and business objectives.
I play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws such as POPIA and GDPR, conducting internal audits and compliance assessments to identify and mitigate legal risks.
I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including HR, IT, and Executive Leadership—to develop and embed policies that promote ethical, regulatory-compliant business practices.
I also develop and create in-house training on various aspects of Information Security and Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
I am responsible for ensuring the Company’s ISO27001 certification and successfully transitioned to the 2022 Standard within six months of starting at the Company.
My work involves continuous horizon scanning for legal developments in technology, privacy, employment law, and corporate governance, ensuring Inspired Testing remains ahead of regulatory trends.
I also engage in legal research, advise on internal legal disputes and issues, and assist in due diligence processes relating to strategic business transactions, partnerships, and service delivery expansions.
