Key Responsibilities:

Litigation Department Management: Effectively manage and oversee all aspects of the litigation department, ensuring streamlined operations and optimal performance.

Client Consultations: Conduct consultations with clients to discuss and address issues concerning civil litigation matters, fostering clear communication and understanding.

Civil Litigation Drafting: Drafting Pleadings, Notices, and Affidavits for civil litigation cases in both the High Court and Magistrates’ Court, maintaining a high standard of legal documentation.

CaseLines Process Management: Applying and overseeing all processes related to CaseLines in accordance with the Practice Directive, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and procedural requirements.

Application and Trial Preparation: Thoroughly prepare for Opposed and Unopposed Applications and Trials, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in legal proceedings.

Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to the legislation while handling matters related to civil litigation, maintaining compliance with legal regulations.

File Management: Handle the filing process efficiently, ensuring the organized and systematic storage of legal documents.

Court Appearances: Appear at court for both Opposed and Unopposed motion court matters, as well as civil trial rolls, representing clients with competence and professionalism.

Debt Negotiations and Documentation: Conduct consultations and negotiations with debtors, including the drafting and finalizing of Acknowledgements of Debt, demonstrating strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

S65 Matters: Finalizing S65 matters, demonstrating expertise in navigating complex legal issues and facilitating case resolutions.

Legal Documentation Issuance: Issue Summonses, Warrants of Execution, and all relevant documentation in accordance with Section 65 of the Magistrate’s Act, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
