About the Candidate.
I have experience in representing clients in the district and regional magistrate’s courts civil section for divorces, evictions, reviews and various applications such as summary judgements, rescission of judgements, variation of a court order, and amendments amongst others. As well as attended to maintenance and domestic violence matters. I have also attended to bail applications, made legal representations to the senior prosecutor, 1st and 2nd court appearances up to the pre-trial phase in the district and regional magistrate’s criminal court section. I have experience with High Court procedures as I attended to the issuing, filing and obtaining of court dates. I also assisted senior legal practitioners during their appearances at the court by liaising with the High court staff members and sitting in for watch and brief’s. I have worked as an Industrial and Employee Relations Intern. In this role I conducted audits to ensure that contractors were aligned to the governing IR policies, monitored contractors to ensure that they complied with their agreements, and mediated between contractors and organised labour to ensure that both parties engaged in line with the policies set in their agreements. I also assisted in compiling the related ER and IR reports.
