Key Responsibilities:
Quality control of all new matters.
Issue, serve, file, set down and appear in 18 Magistrates’ Courts.
Meet with clients to collect their documentation and update them on their matter.
Advise clients on the compliance of their FICA documentation.
When communicating with stakeholders, I ensure that POPIA regulations apply.
Drafting actions and applications to ensure they are compliant.
Research the relevant Acts, Regulations and case law to draft heads of argument.
Drafting a variety of contracts including acknowledgement of debt, service level agreements, vehicle leases, mandates, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employment contracts, sales agreements, rental agreements, etc.
Keep the contract templates up to date and in line with the latest laws and Regulations.
Keep up to date with changes in laws and Regulations in the general civil sphere.
Update progress on matters daily so that head office is up to date at all times.
Litigation by its very nature, is deadline driven. Keeping on top of the various deadlines on all current matters is a priority.
